New York: Random House, 1967. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine/Near Fine. 8vo.,428pp. Beautiful Stated First Printing of Styron's 1967 Pulitzer winner. Bound in black cloth with titles in gilt. Square, tight and clean throughout with little or no wear. save some softness to the spine ends. Small, neat name stamped on front end-paper. Equally attractive unclipped dust-jacket, ($6.95), has a couple of tiny nicks and closed tears at the spine ends. Faint dog-ear to top front flap corner. Tips rubbed. Still fresh and bright. Signed by the author on the half- title page. Laid in is a ticket stub for the event where the books was signed, at the CopperUnion Great Hall in New York in 2001, as well as a promotional flyer for the event. A very pretty collectable copy at a great price.
