Publisher's full blue cloth, gilt lettering on spine, gilt medallion on cover, fore and bottom edges deckle, t.e.g., two pages of fold-out maps, B&W frontispiece, and 40 additional illustrations. This is Mohr's account of his trip across America by train (Northern Pacific Railroad) in 1883. It was first published in Germany in 1884. Translated from the German by La Verne J.
