Inscribed by Ms. Shields on the title page to her good friend Margaret Owen who has her tidy owner's stamp on the front endpaper. True first edition of this Pulitzer Prize winner. Minor spine lean (as usual), faint crease on the front endpaper otherwise fine. Jacket has faint rubbing, minor creasing to flaps. Near Fine/Near Fine.
