HARDCOVER, bound in contemporary half calf and marbled boards, corner-tips bit rubbed, bumped; spine gilt-ruled direct and with crimson morocco lettering-piece in gilt; contemporary bookplate of the 6th Hussars Regiment to first paste-down, old military stamp to title. In fine condition. Excellent copy, crisp plates, bright interior. ~ First French edition, translated from the German (1782). With exceptionally fine and handsome plates, engraved on copper by P. F. Tardieu. A-3
