Bibliography and Index. Illustrated with frontispiece and 10 full page plates. Re-issued in 1968 by this publisher. An important biography illumining the friendship of Whitman and Burroughs. Much on the contemporary reception of "Leaves of Grass" as well as glimpses of important personages of the period. No previous ownership marks. A clean and unmarked ex-library copy with withdrawn stamps on end-papers, small 'Wingate College Library' stamp on bottom of title-page, reference number in pen on two pages and small label on lower spine. A nice copy Very good. .
