About This Item
First edition hardcover, published by Fantasy Press, 1948. Sky blue cloth covered boards with the author's name and title imprinted in gold on the spine. 287 pages, 5-1/4" X 7-5/8". First in the 'Lens' series of novels by Smith, first serialized in four issues of Amazing Magazine, 1934. Illustrated by A.J. Donnell. No dust jacket. This copy is not a library discard. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. The binding is tight and square. Some fading to the spine, though all lettering is still legible. Boards are flat and show very little edge wear. A few spots of staining to the boards. Some foxing spots to the edges of the text pages, appropriate amount considering the paper stock used and the age of the book. We have several Smith titles listed. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
