A Very Good book in a Good dust jacket. 8vo., 226 pp. including fold out diagram. SIGNED by Kent to Jim Patton inside front cover, dated Sept. 30, 1953 (or 55). Bound in publishers burgundy cloth with titles on spine in silver, dust jacket unclipped, $3.50. Jacket is missing the top and base of spine, tears along the lower front cover, chipped and torn at edges, tips and folds...but still in one piece! Other than author inscription, interior is clean and unmarked. Dust jacket now protected in mylar sleeve. Sherman Kent, was a Yale University history professor who, during World War II and through 17 years of Cold War-era service in the Central Intelligence Agency, pioneered many of the methods of intelligence analysis. He is often described as "the father of intelligence analysis". - Wiki.
