Chatto And Windus, 1929. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1929. First Edition Thus. 230 pages. No dust jacket. Orange cloth with gilt lettering. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is dulled. Marked sunning to spine and edges. Liquid stain to front board.

Bell, a noted art critic associated with the Bloomsbury group, discusses various artists and art movements, including Picasso, Matisse, Renoir. Bell also provides an analysis of Duncan Grant's work, with whom Bell's wife Vanessa Stephen had a lifelong relationship. In VERY GOOD condition with minor fading, rubbing and edgewear. Spine sunned. Interior clean and solid with minor toning to the paper.
