About This Item
Norwalk, CT: Easton Press. Near Fine. 1995. Hardcover. The author investiges the "Scottsboro Boys" incident in Alabams in 1931. This is a beautfiully produced book by the Easton Press in genuine full brown leather with raised spine bands and with 24 karat gold spine and cover decorations. All edges are gilt and there is also a yellow silk bookmark. The end papers are decorated. Printed on archival quality paper. This is the Collector's Edition. Known for its quality bindings, this would be a beautiful addition to any library. This is nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings--no bookplates, either. No dust jacket, as issued. Contains an "Essay on Authorities" and an index. Appears to have been unread and shelved since new. There is no rubbing, dents to the covers, however there is some faint coloring to a few areas where it appears some piece of printed paper (newspaper?) may have been pressed aginst the front cover (nothing on rear cover)--I have not tried to remove this, but suspect it could be done. ; Leather-bound Library of American History Series; B&W Illustrations; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 479 pages .
