In 1956 in dense fog off Nantucket Island, the Italian passenger liner Andrea Doria was struck broadside by the Swedish liner Stockholm and was mortally wounded with a gaping hole in her side. This book is a minute by minute account of heroism and cowardice by passengers and crew during the greatest sea rescue in history. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
