Half green-to-brown Morocco over marbled boards. Eighteen hand-colored lithographs by W. Wing. Marbled endpapers and edges. Gilt title and detailing to spine. Mary Roberts was an English author who published fifteen books, most of which related to natural history, with this title being her last. She was the granddaughter of botanist Thomas Lawson and was one of the rare female naturalists of the 19th century. Wear to corners (see image) and head and tail. Front hinge re-attached, but nonetheless sound. No previous owners' names or other markings. 5 x 6.25 in
