Very good + green cloth hardcover is signed by the author on the limitation page just after front endpaper that states Southern Heritage Edition and shows a faint crease along spine, bit of rubbing at cover edges and some other light trace wear, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows some rubbing and soil, exposure toning along spine, wrinkling at fore edge of front flap and some other light wear. 412 pages with index and endpaper maps. Remains a pleasing copy of this new anthology from the author that answers the question, "What was life really like on the great plantations of the ante-bellum South?
