About This Item
From the front dust jacket flap: "The Santa Fe trail was a highway for commerce. A link to markets. A pipeline for international trading contracts and highly capitalized investments. Commerce is cooperative work, and when it succeeds - that is, when it makes an honest profit - commerce can also leave a powerful legacy. That legacy is the story of the Santa Fe Trail."
"Path to Glory tells with pictures and prose the story of the Santa Fe Trail - its beginning, its role in commerce and military history, the journey along its scenic route, its final days and its continuing fascination for Americans."
Book - Good condition. Light brown leatherette over boards with gold gilt on front and spine. First edition. Signed by author on title page. It appears that water was spilled on the leading couple inches of the pages which caused a "wrinkle" on most of the pages and a light water stain on some of the pages in the back. The water did not appear to affect the end papers or covers.Dust Jacket - Very Good- condition. There is one spot near the bottom of the front where there is a slight "wrinkle" possibly from the water damage the book sustained. There is also some rubbing and bumping to both front and back covers, but very little edge/corner wear.
All in all, a good reading copy. Please use photos as part of the description.
131 including Appendix and Bibliography.
