Sampson Low, Marston, Searle & Rivington, 1878. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1878. Third Edition. 572 pages. No dust jacket. Green cloth with gilt lettering. Gilt text block edges. Contains colour photographic plates and black and white illustrations throughout. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout. Dried leaves throughout have left imprints on some pages. Moderate thumb-marking present. Several sections of pages are loose. Staples in binding leaving rust marks in gutter. Previous owner's inscription to front pastedown and endpaper. Heavy foxing to endpapers. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Moderate scratching and marking to boards, including ink droplets to front board. Large crack down middle of rear board. Moderate tanning to spine.
