Hamish Hamilton, 1938. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1938. First Edition. 278 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Blue cloth. Boots library rebind with associated stickers and markings to pages and boards. Rough-cut pages. Light thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Moderate cracking to gutters and hinges causing some looseness to binding but pages remain attached. Pen inscription to front pastedown and page before half title page. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has heavier tanning with soft splitting and crushing to ends. Gilt lettering is noticeably darkened. Book has a slight forward lean.
