Lennox Robinson (1886-1958), an Irish poet and dramatist, became Manager of Dublin's Abbey Theatre in 1909 and was responsible for many of the great plays produced there. This is a Near Fine copy of the First American Edition, a scarce title. Included are two plays: "Alls Over, Then?" and "Church Street." With the production dates and cast lists. Maroon cloth binding with paper spine label. Clean text; 166 pages. There is a lengthy inscription from "Hamlet" (dated 1942) on the FFEP. Slight sun to the very top of the spine. else a Fine copy, very fresh. The scarce dustjacket is present, with stamped two-dollar price intact. Hardly any edgewear, but there is a sizeable chip to the head of the spine, affecting the title. In an archival plastic protector.. First American Edition.. Half-Leather. Near Fine/Very Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.

Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book and on text block edges. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. A few edge tears and creases, as expected with rough cut paper. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Boards intensely scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Ring marks to rear. Spine is noticeably sunned. Boards are heavily bowed. Book has a moderate forward lean. Gilt bright.
