New York: D. Appleton and Company, 1836. Hardcover. Good/Very Good. 12mo., 251pp. Sharp later edition, originally published in 1822. Bound in publisher's black cloth with borders and decoration in blind. Gilt spine titles and the emblem for the Lady's Closet Library stamped in gilt on front board. Square and tight with some wear to edges and tips. Tiny nick in the spine cloth. Scattered foxing throughout and off-setting to end-papers. Fading, neat gift inscription on front end-paper. Bookplate on front paste-down of the Tenney Memorial Library of Newbury, CT, noting it is a gift from the Mrs. Allen Tenny. A very pretty collectable copy.
