Contemporary tan full calf by RELFE BROS., with raised bands, gilt titles to a black label and further gilt to spine, a large gilt crest of Hazelhurst, Frant, stamped to upper, and gilt roll-tooling to boards. All edges and endpapers marbled. Black ink prize inscription to first blank, dated 1917, otherwise internally crisp and clean. Minimal wear to binding. A lovely near fine copy. A follow-up to Church's popular 'Stories from Homer', this time featuring Jason and the Argonauts, some choice scenes from the Iliad, and two stories from Herodotus.
