First edition inscribed on dedication page, "To Gertrude - who loves this quiet valley too - with deep affection Hughie Call." Near fine cloth hardcover shows touch of bumping to corbners and hint of soil at page edges, else tight and clean, in very good dust jacket (price at flap) that shows mild bit of toning along spine, mild bit of rubbing and soil, and edgewear that includes wrinkling, closed tears and small open chips. 250 pages with endpaper maps and illustrations by Paul Brown. Remains an attractive copy of this autobiographical novel that tells of sheep ranching in Montana. Inscribed.
