Historical novel set in the St. Lawrence area of North America in the 18th and 19th centuries and written by English writer often known by the pseudonym "Q".
Book is well preserved with little or no foxing or spotting. Internally clean with no markings except for very minor inscriptions on first blank and paste down. Some spotting to top edge of text block. Fore and lower edges rough cut.
Boards are in good condition. There is some fading and wear at extremities. Head and tail of spine somewhat compressed.
Overall, a solid copy of an uncommon first edition.
