About This Item
Clarion, 1984. Hardcover. Good/Good. Photography by George Ancona. "The First Thanksgiving Feast re-creates this first harvest festival. It was photographed at Plimoth Plantation, a living history museum of 17th-century life in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The museum uses an alternate spelling to distinguish it from the town itself. The people at Plimoth Plantation, called interpreters, live and speak just as the Pilgrims did. The indians are Wampanoags, descendents of the Native People who were ina large part responsible for the survival of the Plymouth colony. The dialogue is fictional. It is based on the first-hand accounts of the original feast found in the books Of Plymouth Plantation and Mourt's Relation." Ex-Library. DJ has library stickers and water damage. Book has library pocket on ffep and some markings, as well as tape residue from the plastic cover (removed). Clean for an ex-library - I suspect they pulled it after it got wet, but the liquid does not appear to have gotten inside the book aside from the back page (shown). The B&W photos are great.
