Contains 24 black and white illustrated plates by George Cattermole. Gilt text block edges. Inscribed to front endpaper by Lady Gertrude Sloane Stanley. Pages are mildly tanned with visible foxing. Notable cracking to front hinge, however binding remains firm. Minor cracking to rear hinge. Boards have noticeable edgewear with corner crushing and notable marking to boards. Mild sunning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing and tearing to ends. Moderate water stains to boards. Notable droplet marking to surfaces. Mild scuffing and peeling to spine. Books has a backward lean.
