This is truly a comprehensive encyclopedia of ferns: classification, propagation, pests, hybridization, recommendations for various uses, etc. Illustrated in with detailed color photos and b&w drawings. First published in 1987, this edition was printed in 1996. Original gray publisher's covers with silver spine lettering. There is previous owner's small bookplate on the upper corner of the front free end paper, else this is a nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings, no previous owner names and no bookplates. The dust jacket has a half inch tear to the upper edge, else it is also in nice condition with no creases or chipd. ; Color Photographs & B&W Drawings; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 433 pages .
