[ii](advertisements)+viii+310)+[2](advertisements), mostly printed double column; post 8vo; red buckram over bevelled boards, lettered and decorated in gilt, the cloth quite rubbed and flecked (heaviest on spine, including a couple of tiny pinprick holes), edges and spine faded; t.e.g., others uncut, partly unopened; book label of David Levine, Sydney, and partial remains of bookseller's sticker on upper pastedown, the upper hinge cracked, advertisement leaves heavily browned, a few small edge splits or chips, a few pencilled annotations and occasional underlining (sometimes in red), scattered foxing and occasional slight soiling; George Redway, London, 1897. First edition. *With several blank leaves interspersed through the text (not included in pagination, and mostly unused), intended for reader's notes.
