About This Item

Indianapolis: Bobbs-Merrill, 1935. Hardcover. Very Good. Hardcover in blue cloth boards with title in bright gilt on front and faded gilt on spine. SIGNED without inscription by Mary Pickford on front endpage. Early printing, but no edition stated. No dust jacket. Pages are clean and fresh. A few pages toward the rear have slightly ragged edges. Pickford, known as America's Sweetheart during the silent movie era, was in her heyday believed to be the most famous woman in the world. She was one of the founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, among her many other accomplishments. This book, set in Paris, was Pickford's only novel. 8vo. 272 pp.
