Hardcover. 416pp. Octavo [20 cm] 1/4 brown cloth with tan paper covered boards, a gilt stamped title on the spine, and a brown ink stamped title on the front board. Deckled fore and bottom edges. Good. The extremities are gently bumped and rubbed. The spine is very subtly indented. The front hinge is weak. There is a bookseller's tiny label on the front free endsheet. The text block is cracked at the beginning. Yellowed pages. With a bibliography by Laura Stedman.
