Barbara Howes (1914-1996) was a Vermont writer who was nominated for the National Book Award; this was her second book.This copy has a review notice dated March 15, 1954 is loosely laid in: "This review copy is sent to you with the compliments of Grove Press." There are two previous owner name stamps at the bottom of the rear end paper and the rear pastedown: "Property of the Leelanau Library Foundation." No other markings to the interior or exterior or to the dust jacket. A nice clean, tight and unmarked book with no interior or exterior markings. ; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 48 pages .
