About This Item
1975. Very Good. 4to, pp. 143, (1) + b/w images. Bright orange cloth boards (to match DJ) with gilt lettering to spine. Small bump to heel of spine, lightly spotted top edge, occasional toning to text block. Else, clean and tight. In VG DJ (designed by Sally Muir) - wear to top edge. A pleasing copy of Pines' critical history of representations, and counter-representations, of black people in North American cinema, ending with a discussion of 'Blaxploitation'.
