Ralph Nevill. half-title with Camden Series logo on verso+t.p.+xvi+230, 12 categories of text ills listed but these include 'symbolic devices' and 'counters' which occur on several pages; slight patch of red pigment leached onto bottom edges of pastedowns by gutter presumably from slight water damage to bottom spine cloth, innocuous small (15 mm) round stamp of Birmingham Assay Office Library bottom front endpapoer, no other provenance markings, light tanning patches to outer sides of endpaper, uncut fore-edges occasionally fraying along outer edge due to over-extension; covers generally clean and minimally worn, gilt portrait logo centre front, spine darkened and dull. A quite scarce and fascinating book.
