Jeu à transformation (Transformation Game) is the name given to a particular deck of cards, printed for the first time in Germany at the starting of XIX century, in which the suit signs are made to form part of the humorous design.
The present set, printed by Maximilian Frommann for the first time, is known by the name "Jean Hachette".
Many of the illustrations can also be found on a contemporary pack made by Grimaud in Paris or on the Kartenspielereien by Braun & Schneider in Munich.
