Good to very good with spine dulled and barely readable and elaborate front cover illustration a bit rubbed and showing a few small color touch ups but text block sound and, with the exception of a touch of minor damp staining at rear, quite clean. Housed in custom, blue-green cloth-covered chemise and matching slipcase with gilt-stamped black labels to spine.

The story revolves around the people living there. The actual location was Ocean View Avenue, later renamed "Cannery Row" in honor of the book. A movie starring Nick Nolte and Debra Winger film version was released in 1982. The book is the first issue buff cloth is fine with the barest wear, in dust jacket with minor wear and rubbing on corners and spine ends, repair tape on verso on top spine, and back cover white portions aged a bit.
