Set in New York and Connecticut involves a couple trying to retrieve their "perfect child" from the overbearing Mrs Porter to establish a normal family life; stuffed full of wonderful Wodehousian characters - the bossy aunt, a tetchy millionaire, a good natured boxer and an orotund English Butler.

This edition has been published with the "Other titles in the Ace Series" page as the front pastedown and no front blank or halftitle - possibly a manufacturing fault but all appears as originally manufactured and no counter page missing later in the book from lack of halftitle which there would be. An elusive early title. The second Biggles title with the action taking place mainly in South America during the interwar years.
