Description:
First Edition. Macdonald, London 1956.
The Brazen Head has been described as a major work of one of the last survivors in the mainstream of the English novel's vanishing greatness, conceived and written from the depths of a massively original personality.
Book is in good condition. Cloth bound boards are clean. Slight forward lean with hinge at front board a little strained. Leaves are clean with no marking or inscriptions except for previous sale price with "First Edition 1956" on first blank. A little spotting to edges of text block, mainly top edge.
