Then begin speeches by Webster on various subjects he made while in the Senate from 1835 to 1840. Museum stamps and name in pencil, heavy edge wear, splits at ft joint and hinge, tanning on endpapers. .

Leather covers badly worn, darkened, scuffed and chipped; hinges cracking and covers almost detached; three sections of cover leather off spine and others cracked and chipped - spine covered with a kind of shellac. Former owner armorial bookplate and pencil signature (Clark Eddy Wyman). Previous owner's stamp on title page: "John Titsworth". This third volume was published after Daniel Webster had left the Senate, and is intended as a tribute and apology for his distinguished record and career. Original contemporary brown ribbed cloth, resumably matching volumes 1 & 2. This volume completes the set.
