B T Batsford Ltd, 1928. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1928. Limited Edition. 187 pages. Blue dust jacket over blue cloth with gilt lettering. Limited edition to 350 copies sold in Great Britain and US. The Leverhulme Art Collections Vol. I. Contains black and white illustrated plates. Includes letter signed by the Chairman of the Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations Committee, with compliments of the Trustees slip inserted. Plates to front pastedown. Rough-cut pages are bright and clear, with some light tanning and foxing to edges. Binding remains firm. Minor brown staining to front endpaper from where the compliment slip has been attached. Occasional thumb-marks. Boards have slight edge wear with corner bumping. Mild sunning to edges. Faint brown marks to front board. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean. Unclipped jacket. Panels haVE moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing. Loss to spine ends. Tanning to all surfaces with minor staining and black marks.
