Deep burgundy, cloth covered boards with tan lettering/rules to the spine. SIGNED and INSCRIBED , September 11, 1944 To Jim Armsey, one of the most promising students I have ever had in my classes, and a good friend Fred Siebert ". Armsey was, among other achievements, the eventual Executive at the Ford Foundation, where he oversaw nearly $500 million in grants, denying grants to segregated universities, thereby leading to the admission of black students to multiple universities in the 1960's. This copy is NEAR FINE. Exterior has modest sun lightened spine and very modest rubs to extremities. Inside has scattered light red pencil underlining throughout, crisp, and tight with modest toning.SCARCE SIGNED.Only such as of February 2024. Very nice provenance. .
