Description:
Laramie: Laramie Printing, 1953. First Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. 1st printing. Gilt-stamped maroon buckram. 200pp. Illus. Index. Laid into this copy is a 3 1/2 page ALS (handwritten) letter (paper size 5" x 8") from LeFors' wife, Nettie, to museum curator (formerly National Cowboy Hall of Fame) and director, Dean Krakel, who assisted Ms. LeFors in publishing her famous husband's manuscript. Content of the letter has to do with meeting up with Krakel and discussing publication. In one paragraph she writes, "I do not want the meaning of what Joe said changed. I am glad you want all of it. There is some very interesting chapters in his early life in Texas." Naturally this title is of critical Tom Horn and Wyoming importance. A fine copy with a very slightly chipped, vg to near fine dj.
