A Very Good copy in a Very Good dustjacket. Slight creasing and light handling wear to covers. Jacket is bright but with handling wear to edges and slight discolouration to the front. pictures available.

Cream cloth over spiral bound pages, dj, VG/G+. 67pp, decorated endpapers, map, 10 plates, b/w illustrations, cancel title page dated 1937 ( Batsford had been the publisher of the Shell Guides until 1939, but Faber took over re-issuing the guides in cloth & with new title pages ). cloth a little grubby & worn, the pastedowns which are prone to splitting at the gutter due to the comb binding are in good order, dustjacket a little ragged along the edges with a little looss. A nice copy. Uncommon Faber re-issue of the iconic 'Shell Guides', the pre war editions telling of a British way of life long gone.
