Top corners dinged/rubbed with rubbing at bottom as well. 1/2 inch tear to top of front spine crease and rubbing to bottom of spine. Interior clean and binding solid. Jacket unclipped with 295/295 to top of front flap. Chipping to corners/spine ends, creases and along spine. Some tears to same and ends of front panel, general edgewear and nicks. 16 titles listed on rear flap with some pencil marks.

NY: Random House, 1949. First. Hardcover. Yes. First edition, subsequent priinting, with all 1st ed. points on book and jacket except that the boards and dust jacket are red instead of blue. Glossy illustrated paper covered boards. Moderately bumped at the tips and bumped with some wear about the head and foot of spine; light offsetting to the front and rear free endpapers. The dust jacket is clipped at the top corner although the numeral "2" is still visible; (60-90) bottom of front flap just beloww the "ss" in Seuss; rear panel lists "The Other 6 by Dr. Seuss" with review blurbs beneath each. Jacket is chipped at the corners, edges and foot of spine, has a closed tear diagonally from the top front left corner. The rear panel, while not discolored, is crinkled from dampstaining which is only evident on the blank inner side. An affordable, still collectible alternative to the very pricey first issue.
