Light wear to spine, first blank has been cut out, damp stain to bottom cnr of some illus plates due to absorbancy of blotter type paper, most are toned to edges with only on tissue guard remaining as they were loosely inserted not bound in, copy is mostly nice with some mild foxing and odd mark, nice and crisp. William Henry Bartlett (born March 26, 1809, died September 13, 1854) was a British artist, best known for his numerous steel engravings. Bartlett was born in Kentish Town, London in 1809. He was apprenticed to John Britton (1771-1857), and became one of the foremost illustrators of topography of his generation.
