Private, ca1901. Tall hardback, 11.5 x 9 inches. In full calf leather fine binding, with decorative gilt and embossed paneled boards, raised and gilt banding to spine, marbled endpapers. In very good condition. Leather rubbed around edges and ends of spine. Inscription on loose business card at front (difficult to read - dedicates the book to Maj.-Gen. White Cooper (?) according to the Will of Dowager Lady Freake, dated the same year as her death in 1901.) And inscribed again at top of “Characters” page. Else a very good clean and tight copy. Scarce. Unpublished. 55pp. Typed pages on handmade paper, edges uncut.
