NY: International Book Company. G. (1889). New Edition. New Edition with memoir by R. H. Stoddard. Decorated green cover. One chapter is entitled "How to Build a Bark Canoe" . Book was awarded in 1896 to a boy as a reward for "general behavior and faithrulness in work" and a news clipping of a poem glued to front endpaper with "Manners for Boys" (i.e., Never play with your knife, ring or spoon, Eat as fast or as slow as others, and finish the course when they do." Two news clipping glued to back endpapers, one on "Faith Illustrated" and one "A Father's Lesson". Some edge wear. .
