UK: New English Library, 1972. 1st Edition 1st Impression. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition, first printing (true first). 348pp. In blue textured cloth-covered boards (just a little rounded at spine ends). Text block edges toned. Hint of spotting on endpapers, else internally neat, clean and tight. In its original dust jacket (very slightly rubbed on extreme corners). The dust jacket is now protected in an archival quality mylar wrapper, fitted without the use of adhesives. Author's second novel, a best-seller when first published in the 1970s, which features Terry Sneed, an unscrupulous Scotland Yard inspector.
