The Century Co.. Good with no dust jacket. 1912. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. First printing (April 1912) with no later printings indicated. Dark green cloth with gilt lettering and decoration stamped in light purple (front board) and blue (spine). Minor edgewear, scuffing and rubbing; spine ends and corners lightly bumped. Gilt topped text block. Binding becoming tender and starting to crack in a few places. Interior lightly toned, with offsetting to title page from frontis' tissue guard. Text unmarked. Minor soil (ie, light fingerprint smudges) here and there to interior. One fold-out map has a significant portion (about 60%) missing; all other maps and plates are very good and undamaged. No ownership marks, stickers or stamps. Not ex-library. Photos available upon request. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 284 pages .
