1841. LOWELL, James Russell. A Year's Life. Original boards, printed paper spine label, housed in custom calf-backed cloth slipcase, inner cloth chemise. Boston: C.C. Little and J. Brown, 1841. First edition, first issue, of the author's first book, with the errata slip at the end of the book. BAL 13037. With the leather bookplate of noted collector and philanthropist William Van R. Whitall. Very light wear to head of spine, boards lightly rubbed, else very good.
