She has lived near Hotchkiss, Colorado since she came to America as a GI bride of Sgt. Bruce McKnight after World War II. She started her Wartime Diary on D Day, June 6, 1944. In her section on Recollections, she recalls the heavy air-raids on Portsmouth and all large cities during the period 1940-1943 .
