Harte was a prolific writer who much favoured the flavour of the Wild West and the stories of the Pioneers. This collection of frontier stories is in fair to poor condition. The cover is firm, dignified and patient. It has wear to the edges, corners and seams. The spine is tanned and worn but is strong and secure. Within, the book is enchantingly illustrated with photogravures (complete). The contents are clear, comfortable, a little foxed and assured. fk.
