New York: Ariel Books | Farrar, Straus and Company, 1969. Hard Cover. Good+ binding/Good dust jacket. Octavo. [10], 211 pp. Twenty-fifth printing. Signed and inscribed by L'Engle. In publisher's cloth with dust jacket. Binding is a bit soiled and with some wear to the extremities including fraying to both bottom corners; contents are generally clean; dust jacket with silverfishing to both front fold (rear flap is detached) and to a bit of the white lettering on the spine; nevertheless, the cover present well; price on the front flap has been clipped.
A nice signed copy of L'Engle's enduring classic and Newbery Award-winning book in the iconic jacket designed by Ellen Raskin. The recipient of L'Engle's inscription has put her name in pencil on the front free endpaper. Laid in is a single sheet of paper with ink notes related to the book on one side only; also a newspaper clipping about L'Engle's visit to Virginia Commonwealth University for a 2-day conference on children's literature. This copy is from a Richmond, VA collection.

Synopsis
A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy novel by Madeleine L'Engle, first published in 1962. The book won a Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award, and Lewis Carroll Shelf Award, and was runner-up for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. It is the first in L'Engle's series of books about the Murry and O'Keefe families.

Great read for a kid, adult, or anyone who hasn't lost their sense of mystery and adventure. What if? What if time travel were as easy as L'Engle proposes? I still look for Mrs. Whatsit to point me in the right direction.
