An expansion of lectures given at Toronto in the autumn of 1958". vii+97; very thin strips of fading to spine ends the only flaw to this otherwise near pristine copy; clipped jacket otherwise clean and unworn. Includes discussion of the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, and matters relating to trade in timber, tobacco and coal. A very nice little monograph on the economic character of Scottish Enlightenment society.
