Monograph on the archaeological exploration and analysis of ancient jade and hardstone workshops, of a massive scale and dating back some 3500 years, which have been excavated in recent decades in the vicinity of Trang Kenh in northern Vietnam. The Archaeological Institute, and particularly Dr Kim Dung, have done pioneering work in determining the tools and methods employed by ancient jade craftsmen. Text in Vietnamese with table of contents in English. 312 pp., including 100 pages of line drawings and b&w photos of excavated artefacts, site maps and reconstruction of ancient tools and rotary grinding devices.
